Exercise 1 for Computer Typists & Programmers

Angula Mula Sakthi Vikasak exercise, as the name suggests, improves the micro-circulation of the blood at joints at the base of fingers of the hands.

Starting Posture of Angula Mula Sakthi Vikasak

With the feet together and the body relaxed, raise the arms forward, parallel to the ground, at shoulder level.

Exercise/ Technique of Angula Mula Sakthi Vikasak

The hands beyond the wrists should  be relaxed and drooping.

EXERCISE `A’

  1. While stiffening the entire arm, the  hand alone must be relaxed.
  2. Hold for five minutes to begin with.

EXERCISE `B’

  1. Similar to Point No. 1 of Exercise A,  but with the arms bent at the elbows.
  2. Two minutes to begin with.

Precaution of Angula Mula Sakthi Vikasak

No precautions appear to be taken during this exercise.

Benefits of Angula Mula Sakthi Vikasak

This exercise improves the micro-circulation of the blood at joints at the base of fingers of the hands and as well as in preventing arthritis of the finger joints.

It is boon to typists and computer programmers whose fingers are continuously exerted pressing the keys of the keyboard and mouse of the computer/ laptops. So, they can prevent carpel tunnel syndrome with this exercise. They should couple this exercise with other exercises of the hands – Kara Tal Shakti Vikasaka Kriya and Kara Prshta Shakti Vikasaka.
