About a month ago I decided to give up all detrimental aspects affecting my body (alcohol mainly), and have been enjoying being completely sober. I am 18 years of age and have a very well built body, and have always liked exercise and working it everyday. While i was at college I started doing a small amount of yoga with some friends. At the beginning of my summer break I decided to follow through and do it every day ( which i have done ). I have tried to read as much as possible about it, but have not had professional assistance, I do about an hour of it right when i wake up. It feels great! as my day goes on I do normal stretches throughout the day along with 1 1/2 of working out. I am seeing improvement in my breathing, and flexibility along with the definition of my muscles. I enjoy it mostly for those reasons, I guess my question for you is it ok to workout in a day on top of yoga at the start of the day, as long as i give a sufficient break in between yoga and my workout? also as i said i love flexibility and muscle building poses ( like, warrior pose, downward dog, boat pose, plank pose ) any suggestions? also should i repeat the pose 2 times for more of a challenge or hold it longer during the same pose? lastly is there any good informational website you would like to inform me on?
