I had severe constipation for more than a year  which become severe from December 2023  with Intermittent  abdominal  pain . The situation become worst in March,2024 and I had to be hospitalized on 18th March ,2024.
On investigation it  was found that I had splenic Flexure  (adenoma)  with subacute intestinal obstruction. Left Hemicolectomy with diversion Ileostomy under GA was done on 23rd March, 2024.
Unfortunately,  leakage in the anastomotic site was developed a few days after the surgery  and I had to wait for nearly 4 months for the leakage to heal itself and the stoma reversal surgery was done on 18th July,2024. I was discharged from the hospital on 22nd July , 2024 with the advice to take low residue , low fat diet for  a month and then gradually  switch over to my  normal meal

In the intervening period  between the two surgeries , I had a stoma bag  fitted on the right side of may stomach (Ileostomy) and a PCD in left lumber collection   which were removed while performing Stoma Reversal surgery. (,i.e., my  intestine from stoma site to rectum had been non-operational  during the period and start its function post stoma reversal surgery ) . I hope the information will help you to address my problem
