I presume that you do not have cataract, glaucoma and other disorder of this kind and also not gone through any eye surgery. Based on this fact, I may like to bring some points:

  • Suryanamaskar Asana - > trikonasana ->bhujangasana ->yogamudrasana->jalandhara bandha-> trataka->palming
  • During trataka (without any strain, within your limits), sit in any comfortable posture or chair.

Keeping your neck and spine straight, see upwards towards sky or roof and hold for 2 seconds and see downwards towards floor (without moving your head) with holding for 2 seconds. Repeat for 5 rounds.

Palm your eyes for 1 minute.

Move your eye balls sideways (left and right) with holding for 2 seconds. Movement should be slow. Repeat for 3 rounds.

Palm your eyes for 1 minute.

Rotate upper half circle clock wise and anticlock wise. Repeat 5 times and do the same with lower half circle clock wise and anti clockwise. Repeat 5 times.

Palm your eyes for 1 minute.

Slowly move your eye balls diagonally in both directions. Repeat 5 times.

Palm your eyes for 1 minute.

You can try to do palming as follows:

1.

Rest your elbows comfortably on a table or desk.

2.

Cover your eyes with your cupped palms. There should be complete darkness. There should be no pressure felt on your eyes. The palms should be very lightly pressed on the outer part of the eye regions.  Hold for around one minute.

3.

You may also add a pillow under your elbows to comfort yourself.

4.

Breathe deeply for a few minutes during palming. Fully inhale and fully exhale yourself.

  • Jalaneti can also be beneficial to you, if done under guidance of qualiified yoga instructor.

Diet is more important factor to cure eye ailments. Consult any dietician who should suggest you for balanced diet, according to your climate and culture.
