This is tutorial on how to practice Uttitha Padmasana.

  1. Sit erect with legs stretched, heels together, palms pressing on the floor by the side of the buttocks. Make the spine, neck and head erect. This is Starting Position called Dandasana of Sitting Asanas / Postures.
  2. Sit in Padmasana
  3. Rest the palms on the floor beside the hips.
  4. Exhale, raise the trunk and balance only on the hands, hands should be straight.
  5. Slowly sit on the floor, release legs.

Uttitha Padmasana strengthens the wrist, hands and abdominal walls.
