The fruit banana is alkaline in nature. If you are eating ripe banana, it should not cause any kind of acidity, rather it neutralizes the acid conditions. It can cause a little digestive disturbance if you are not chewing properly. There should be proper mastication of every bite of banana. You can sprinkle powder of green cardamom (small elaichi) to have better digestion of banana.
It has good amount of dietary fiber and vitamin B-6 and vitamin C and Magnesium and iron, in addition to potassium beyond the recommended dose allowance. It fulfills the needs of calories enough, anemia (due to presence of iron) and is good for intestinal peristalsis due to sufficient fibers. Just be aware of the chemicals on the bananas which are used in artificial ripening of bananas as well as check if you have allergy to bananas which some people have to some fruits.
It is better to take bananas in the morning but not on empty stomach. You can include in the breakfast for better results.
