This is called kaki Mudra.

Keeping your eyes closed and cheeks inflated, close the nostrils with the thumbs with other fingers of both hands joined. Hold the breath as long as you can.

Bring your chin forward against the cavity of your throat (sternal notch).

After a certain while (as per your capacity), let the neck return to the normal posture.

Open your eyes, and exhale through the nose slowly and effortlessly. Simultaneously, bring your arms in normal position after describing a circle. You can place your hands in normal position – Gyan mudra in seating posture or along thighs in standing posture.

Frequency: In the beginning, one should perform this exercise five times.

Precautions of Kapola Sakti Vardhak

As usual, we discuss about the precautions of every exercise. This exercise seems to be easy and can be done by any one. But still, one should be careful in the following conditions:

Vertigo (one should not do kapola sakti vardhak in vertigo)

High Blood Pressure (one should limit this practice to 3-4 times only and retention of breath should be within the capacity).

Cervical Spondylitis (In this case, neck should not bent forward, as this will aggravate the cervical spondylitis and the pain or headache or even vertigo issues can arise. So, just make kaki mudra and inflate your cheeks with fresh air. That’s enough).

Very loose teeth. (Be very careful they should not be carried inside with the breath). If artificial teeth are loose, they should be removed before the exercise.

The surrounding air should be neat, clean and fresh. Never practice this exercise in polluted air.

Benefits of Kapola Sakti Vardhak

Lets see how Kapola Sakti Vardhak helps in achieving charming Beauty, fixes Bad Breath and Pyorrhoea:

The Kakimudra depends on aeration and oxygenation of the oral cavity. During the normal breathing, the mouth usually remains closed and therefore, fresh air does not enter it. The germs in the mouth multiply unhindered. During the exercise of kaki mudra, when a frequent forceful jet of air goes through the teeth, gums etc., it has a beneficial effect and many oral infections are prevented and cured .

Most of the facial muscles get properly exercised by the pouting and holding the mouth in that shape for some time, else these muscles remain inactive. The habitual inaction of these muscles makes them flabby. It gives your cheeks a fresh bloom.

The teeth become stronger. Pyorrhea, caries and halitosis are cured. Sunken cheeks fill up gradually and once again look normal. Pimple, boils etc. disappear.

The additional benefit of Kapola Sakti Vardhak is the benefit of Jalandhar Bandha (chin lock) which is practiced in this exercise. The amazing benefit is improvement of thyroid function. There are certain yogasanas like Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand Pose), Halasana (Plough Pose), Setubandhasana (Bridge Pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) that help in improving the function of Thyroid glands. You know that the thyroid gland is the body’s master metabolic control center.

Generally, the bad breath and pimples are also associated with the presence of Constipation. So, alongwith kapola sakti vardak, also fix your constipation problem to eliminate the bad breath, pyorrhoea and pimples.

RELATED: SARVANGAPUSHTI – Whole Body Development

Kapola Sakti Vardhak | 4 Amazing Benefits| Charming Beauty, Fix Pimples, Bad Breath & Pyorrhoea

Kapola Sakti Vardhak fixes PIMPLES, BAD BREATH, Pyorrhoea and Wrinkles and thereby good exercise for achieving over all facial charming beauty.
